MDMS handles billions of smart-meter reads. Every event flows through Kafka before it hits storage so downstream jobs (billing, ANEV anomaly detection) can subscribe without coupling to the ingest path.

My role

I worked on the ingestion services and the Kafka consumer that fans data out to storage and analytics. The design prioritized backpressure and idempotency so replays never corrupt the meter timeline.
